Wacky Karts – 400 points – Racing & Flying – Download
This Mario Kart clone gets the basics right but is missing some key elements that could set it apart from the SNES game, the largest being online play. It is still fun though and I’ll be doing a full review soon.
Atomhex – 80 points – Shooter – Download
Polished twin-stick shooter with fun gameplay and an interesting ‘Ikaruga’ like colour switching system.
Arbor Vitae – 240 points – Shooter – Download
Another innovative shooter, unfortunately this one isn’t quite as polished. You must grow a tree by watering it and also defend from enemies. With a bit of tweaking this could be good.
NINJA TRAIN – 80 points – Classics – Download
Tidy up the controls and improve the level design and this could be a nice, small retro platformer but in it’s current state and with the horrible blurry mess covering half the screen (what was the developer thinking?) it’s not worth bothering with.
A Frog Game – 240 points – Family – Download
Polished, but it feels more like a mini-game. You must jump with your frog and try to catch flies. It’s very simple and doesn’t last long.
