Xona Games, creators of the fantastic looking Duality ZF, are releasing another game whilst work to possibly get Duality ZF released on XBLA continues. The game is called Decimation X and seems to be a cross between Space Invaders and a bullet hell shooter. As always from Xona Games, this looks fantastic.

Decimation X should be available later this week for 80 points.

   This game looks like an homage to TI Invaders from the TI/994-A. The funny thing is we just launched our remake of Hunt The Wumpus from the TI/99 called Sidehill Gouger which is also on the Xbox Indie Games marketplace.

   Decimation X is really a TI Invaders clone, not a Space Invaders clone, if I can say that. TI Invaders on the TI-99/4A was the best Space Invaders clone out, and for the ones that are most truthful to the original, it’s STILL the best clone out, although it would be a little slow by today’s standards, which is why Decimation X ups the intensity significantly. It’s too bad the TI-99/4A wasn’t popular, since TI Invaders rocked, as did Parsec (which I think challenged the arcades for best arcade game ever made at the time — really, it was that good), and even Munch Man (a Pac Man clone) and many others.
